Full Bio

About Georgia Mulholland is an artist working with sound, photography, and moving image to document themes of place, memory, and resistance. Originally from Western Australia, she has spent much of the past decade living in Palestine, Egypt, Mexico, Colombia, and Kununurra (Kimberley, WA). She currently lives between Melbourne (Naarm) with her partner, and Bethlehem (Palestine). Her practice is shaped by these diverse experiences, focusing on the complexities of identity, conflict, and human rights.

Georgia holds a BA in Design, majoring in Moving Image, and is currently completing a Masters in International Humanitarian Law. Her artistic practice bridges these disciplines, combining visual storytelling with a deep understanding of international law and human rights.

As the project director of Made in Palestine, a non-profit organisation providing direct support to Palestinian families, she is deeply engaged in initiatives that amplify Palestinian voices. Georgia has lectured on the solidarity between Palestinian and First Nations peoples' struggles for liberation in both Australia and Palestine. She organises ongoing film screenings in Melbourne (Naarm), centred on Palestinian documentaries, and has spoken at numerous educational events, workshops, and rallies.

Currently, Georgia is exhibiting a body of work entitled ‘It’s Your Head That Bleeds’, from her recent artist residency with Wonder Cabinet in Bethlehem, Palestine. Through this work, Georgia continues to explore the intersection of art and activism. Her exhibitions create immersive, contemplative spaces that invite reflection and dialogue, engaging viewers with the political, social, and emotional layers of the world around us.
